Aix-en-Provence Photo Diary

♫ Thievery Corporation- Shadows of Ourselves ♫

Golden hour after a loooong day of exploring!

Hey lovelies!

After Lyon it was time to go on my own and explore the South of France....although I was super duper tired I was also very excited since I was a first timer out in the South of France! I took the train down South to Aix-en-Provence, this small quaint city (which felt more like a town) is known for its beautiful lavender fields and countryside. Visiting the lavender fields has been on my bucket list for a while so I'm glad I booked the tour in advance!
I'm also glad I got to explore Provence's little "downtown" area filled with the cutest shops, bookstores, restaurants, and a bunch of outdoor markets!

Upon arriving the weather immediately reminded me of back home, dry and extra hot! Fruit stands and markets were seen almost everywhere outside and you bet I took advantage and bought some fruits, especially fresh organic peaches since they were in season....they were literally everywhere guys...and so delicious!

Overall I loved this small city it had a certain charm to it, the architecture, the summery golden light, the weather, and  the locals were super friendly and laid-back! And although I was under the weather for like a day or two I still had such an unforgettable time and enjoyed this beautiful city!

Have you guys been?

Cutest pups everywhere!

Fell in love with this amazing bookstore located on Cours Mirabeau street!

Found it!! L'Occitane!
One of my fave natural skincare stores which originated in Provence!

Getting lost...no map...no plan :)

LOVED the outdoor markets!

Balboa Park

♫ Freedom Fry- Wild Child ♫

After living in San Diego for a couple years I would have to say that one of my favorite places in San Diego has got to be Balboa Park. This huge park is filled with beautiful gardens, a conservatory, and a variety of museums. It's no doubt that I love going there, especially in the spring time, the flowers were in full bloom and the weather was perfect! I also can't get enough of the Spanish mission style architecture of the museums I could just stare at all the intricate details especially Casa del Prado's.

I'm glad we ended up going there on a Friday since it wasn't too crowded, so I highly recommend going on a week day instead! Unfortunately, I could not check out the art museums or the other historic ones since we wanted to do so many other things in San Diego, but I'm hoping to go back sometime this summer. Have you guys been before?

More SD pictures coming your way! :)

Good times with my sis, Lukas, and Bianca :)

Vancouver Trip I

♫ Beat Connection- Illusion ♫

Hi lovelies!

I apologize for the lack of posts but I've been super busy and I was out of town for a couple of days but I finally came back from Vancouver and I must say I fell in LOVE with this city, despite the gloom and rain. I seriously didn't want to leave I was yearning for cold weather and rain so I'm glad I got to experience it in Vancouver. I know there are a bunch of pictures but it was so hard to choose my favorite ones. I'm planning to do four different posts of my trip so stay tuned for those pictures.

Where do I begin with Vancouver?! ....
It's just so different from Calgary, I've been there decades ago but both cities are so different and I must say I loved Vancouver even more. This cosmopolitan/urban city was a mix between San Francisco, Seattle, and New York...I know so random... but I was really digging the city vibes.  The style, and the overall ambiance in Vancouver was great!  The diversity, languages, and people were definitely a highlight of the trip. I don't think I've heard so many languages in one day inside the public sky train,  I think I must've heard at least 5 different languages at once and loved it!

The first day we took the sky train public transportation to downtown and we explored around Waterfront, Canada Place,  and Gastown. I loved Gastown,  the autumn trees and crunchy leaves everywhere made it that much better, I'm so glad I got to experience a REAL autumn in Vancouver! After a long day we stopped by a cute coffee shop called: Waves Coffee House and indulged in a yummy matcha and pumpkin spice latte.
Already missing this beautiful city!

More pictures coming your way :)
