Music Festival Season

8. Music Festival Season

Hey guys!

With Coachella literally around the corner along with other music festivals I created a couple of April-inspired outfits to share and hopefully inspire you guys.
Unfortunately it's #Nochella for me this year, but I'm hoping to go to other music fests and shows this spring and summer. I'm really hoping to see Little Dragon next week in LA, love them have you guys heard their new songs yet?...sooo good!

Anyways, this spring I've been inspired by a bunch of fresh cotton, linen, and other breathable fabrics. I rarely use bright colors but I don't mind eye-catching blues, mint, and burnt orange hues for this season. I'm also really digging loose shift dresses, sets, denim shorts, straw hats, lace up sandals, espadrilles, and especially straw bags... I just can't get enough haha.
What are your favorite spring trends? Are you guys planning to attend any music fests this year?

DECASO Dream Space

DECASO living room

Lately I've been drawing so much inspiration from interior decor spaces on Pinterest and Tumblr and I just can't get enough! I'm all about open spaces, natural lighting, and comfort. I recently found out about DECASO, also known as the Decorative Arts Society, which is a new website where you can find soooo much interior decor inspiration. I absolutely love this site since they have everything you could ever want to decorate a space anything from: antique furniture, decorative art, rugs, lamps, and so much more! They seriously have some of the best curated selection of home decor items offered by some of the best dealers in the world.

Above I created a set of my ideal living room space using DECASO's items including: the furniture,  some art objects, baskets, pillows, lamps, and the magazine rack.
Since spring's arrival I've been inspired by muted colors with pops of blue tones, anything beachy really with wooden accents too. I'm also really into abstract watercolor paintings, baskets, plants, and anything else that reminds me of a desert oasis, tropical paradise, or a lazy beach town....I'm always on wanderlust mode!
I don't like anything too perfect but I also don't like too much clutter so I created an effortless yet comfortable space to relax in and feel right at home.
What do you guys think?

If you would like more inspiration check out DECASO's website here

Golden State of Mind

♫ Kurt Vile- Dust Bunnies ♫

Wearing:

Heavenly Couture jacket
J. Jill tee
Lee's vintage shorts
Thrifted straw bag
Superga sneakers

Last weekend we took a spontaneous day trip to Walker Canyon in Lake Elsinore to check out more of the super bloom. Besides Antelope Valley, this place was on a random side of the road near the freeway and it was more of an uphill hike haha. It was worth it though, the view from the top was great and so were the blooming yellow flowers blanketing the hills. We definitely made sure to take in the view and enjoy all the nature and we even made a quick stop to check out Lake Elsinore
This time, I opted for a comfortable yet spring-y look because it was about 80 degrees with clear skies out there and I also made sure to lather on that SPF.
For this day I wore my denim cut-offs, a basic cotton tee, a straw hat, and my favorite Superga sneakers. I always feel more comfortable in casual ensembles like these, instead of a glitzy perfectly polished look. I guess I guess you can say I'm all about that "Less is more" phrase  :P
Anyways, thanks to the winter rain California's spring has been in full bloom and it's definitely worth a view, gotta love it!
