♫ Devendra Banhart- Saturday Night ♫
DTLA nights
Last weekend my friend invited us to The Broad for its "Summer Happenings" event, I was not really familiar with this event but once I saw Devendra Banhart was playing live I did not think about it twice! I've been a fan of his music for a while so it was great seeing him play again along with other interesting Japanese artists performing inside and outside The Broad!
It was pretty cool since they closed the whole museum just for the event, so I got chance to view some of the recent art work in the museum and check out some performances too!
Have you guys heard of this event or been before?
Wearing:
F21 dress
Castaner espadrilles
Anneise rope necklace and tote bag
LOVED this art work by El Anatsui called:
"Strips of Earth's Skin"
Made entirely of recycled materials like bottle caps, metal scraps, etc.
It just flows so effortlessly and there's just something so soothing and blissful about the soft colors he used.
Roy Lichtenstein
Jean-Michel Basquiat
I've always been a fan of his use of color and the imperfection in his art.
Cool Japanese artists performing and playing different types of music outside the museum.
Got to see Devendra Banhart once again, always great live!
TGIF babes!
Hope you all enjoy your weekend :)
