El Dorado Nature Walk

Wow can't believe Christmas Eve is here! It's been a very busy past few weeks but I finally got a chance to relax and go to El Dorado nature center in Long Beach for a morning stroll. I know it's officially 'winter' but from these pictures it actually feels and looks like fall haha, it was so nice getting to see all the beautiful golden trees and leaf colors. This is one my favorite local spots to get in touch with nature,  it just helps me unwind ....love it so much! This was a perfect day trip before diving into the Christmas Eve festivities with family.

Homemade sandwiches and pita chips for lunch!

One of my favorite easy hiking trails is El Dorado Nature Center in my hometown in Long Beach. I've been going there for quite some time, there is a great 4 mile hike with different trails. Nature Center is a very relaxing getaway from the bustle of the city, which is only minutes away! I love how it feels like I'm in the mountains or a totally different state. There is so much nature and the trees are definitely a sight, like the boulevard shaped "tunnel" tree..one of my faves for sure! If you're looking for a nice hiking spot you should totally check out El Dorado Nature Center. It's worth it! 

I can't wait to go on another hike with friends tomorrow before I start school, pictures coming soon! :)
