Toasting yummy mint juleps and happy to be here with my sister/best friend/ travel buddy!^^

One of the highlights of this trip was definitely visiting Oak Alley Plantation. I loved learning so much history about this majestic plantation and the hard work put into it. There was also so much mystery there like those beautiful huge oak trees creating that boulevard entrance. They date back to the 18th century around when the French settlers colonized Louisiana, but no one really knows who planted them and why since they were already there before the plantation was built... aren't they just grand though? There are also rumors that the mansion may be haunted... :O
Just remembering being there makes me want to go back though. The weather was perfect, that sweet humid Southern breeze, the rich history, the Southern charm, and those refreshing mint juleps made this day so unforgettable. I'm already wishing I could visit this place again one day. I highly recommend visiting this plantation if you're ever visiting Louisiana. You may recognize it from movies like: Interview with a Vampire, Midnight Bayou, Days of Our Lives, and many others that were filmed there.
Hope you enjoyed these pictures, stay tuned for more! :)
