Daydreaming in Nature

These past weekends I've been taking advantage of the beautiful spring weather and heading to the arboretum in Fullerton. Love getting lost in nature there and just taking casual strolls with fam and friends. The relaxing vibes and soft jasmine citrus scent in the air of the blooming flowers made it all that worth it! Besides the beach I love unwinding there too, can't get enough!

Arboretum Hangs

Last Sunday we went to the Fullerton Arboretum, which has become one of my go-to places for a morning walk/easy hike, it's so close to home and I love how it actually feels like you're in the middle of nowhere lost in nature, which in this case is good!

I love the botanical garden and spotting all the different trees, plants, and flowers... they each have have a little sign next to them with their scientific name too!

I love how all the plants and trees in there are preserved and how there are different collections too like the cultivated, woodlands, desert, and mediterranean collections. My favorite has to be the desert with its succulents/cacti gardens and the mediterranean collection with the California shrubs and native plants.

Scarfed Up

World Market Scarf

One of my favorite winter accessories are definitely scarves, I have to admit I have a huge collection :P from simple summery cotton scarves to huge chunky knit ones...I just can't help it, they give that final cozy layer and finish up any look. I love how there are many different ways to style and tie scarves too, maybe I'll make a separate post on different ways to tie scarves, in these pictures I just wrapped them up in the most basic laziest way since I was in a hurry lol.

Layering up with oversized sweaters and scarfing up is my favorite way to stay cozy this winter, the comfier the better! :)

Fullerton Arboretum

I finally got a chance to visit the Fullerton Arboretum, and loved it! This beautiful natural habitat is the perfect getaway and spot for photo shoots, hiking, wedding events, or just a place to relax and take in all the nature and check out all the different kinds of trees and plants.

Of course I headed straight for the succulents and cacti area since they're my fave! The bamboo area was also my favorite, it was definitely very picturesque. Although we walked along the trails for a while I still didn't have the right shoes..obviously ;) so we couldn't really see the rest of the park. :/ However, I'm definitely planning to come back for a hike and explore more of the arboretum. Have you guys ever been?
