La Jolla Cove

The ocean is always my favorite place to unwind....whether I'm stressed out, happy, or feeling down going to the beach always has a calming effect on me and automatically puts me in a better mood, I just feel in my zone. I think I might have been a mermaid in another life... ;) 

These pictures were taken in San Diego's beautiful La Jolla Cove, this place is just too stunning for words. I love all the nature around, especially the seals and sea lions sun bathing on the cove and on the shore. They're literally a couple feet away from you just relaxing there without a care in the world, I just love observing them in their natural habitat. There are also tide pools where you can  check out other marine life like: sea urchins, sea anemones, sea slugs, sea gulls, pelicans, and hermit crabs hanging around. I love marine animals and anything about the ocean, and this place in SD definitely hits the spot for checking out marine wildlife!

It was pretty gloomy and rainy these last couple of days but it still felt nice, I went to Santa Barbara yesterday for a quickie day trip and I just came back from LA and explored the Watts Towers, overall it was a pretty swell weekend if you ask me :)

La Jolla Cove

San Diego's La Jolla beach also known as "the jewel by the sea" is one of the most popular beaches known for kayaking, sea caves, sea lions/seals, and its overall natural habitat. I loved the cove filled with so many sea lions and seals just basking in the sun, I was literally steps away from them so I managed to take a few snaps of them just lounging around and posing for the cam! :) Overall, t'was a great day coming back to SD and exploring La Jolla I totally recommend checking out this beach and La Jolla Village if you get a chance.

Under the Sea

♫ Best Coast- Summer Mood ♫

Last week my family and I visited the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, it felt pretty cool coming back since they have many new exhibits! I've always loved the aquarium since I'm really into marine biology and the ocean...can you guys believe my first job right out of high school was there haha... I was the girl with the huge camera around my neck standing in the entrance taking pictures of all the school groups and families. This job had its bittersweet moments for sure so it felt kinda weird going back :) This time around we went with my little nephew, Lukas, he was very alert the whole time and actually enjoyed his experience there. He loooved the jelly fish, sea lions, and the little penguin posed next to him in the pictures above. I've always been a fan of the jelly fish exhibit they're so beautiful and dreamy, and the sea lion exhibit too they're just so much fun and full of energy! :) T'was a great day with the family, have you guys ever been to the AOP?
