Hey guys!

For my birthday this past Friday, I spent some time in Santa Barbara and Ojai, it was a while since I went up there but I was so glad to finally be back and explore more of Central California. Santa Barbara has always been a favorite city of mine, it's a small city with that small town beachy Mediterranean vibe. It also has so much to offer in terms of shopping, great restaurants, nature, and so much more!

One of the top places on my list of SB was to visit the courthouse in downtown, it was so BEAUTIFUL! It felt like I was inside a mission or a building in Morocco, the architecture and tiled interior was just so dreamy! Have you guys been before? I highly recommend going and the view from the top is simply stunning! Gotta love Santa Barbara :)

Santa Barbara Day Trip

Santa Barbara is one those perfect dreamy getaway spots for the weekend but in this case we went for a day trip and it was more than we needed. This city will always be one of my favorites because it has that cute small town feel and lazy beach town vibe! I love all the surrounding nature too from the open hills, flower fields, ranches, to the beach. It's a perfect escape to get away from all the city craze from LA, I love how laid-back it is out there and how there is always plenty to do and see.

One of my favorite spots in SB is of course State Street, which is pretty much the downtown of SB and a strip filled with restaurants, boutiques, cafes, and a bunch of other stores.  I love all the hidden streets and the beautiful Spanish style architecture almost everywhere you go, you're bound to see mosaics and tiles anywhere which I love! One of my other fave spots is the Santa Barbara Mission and of course we couldn't go out there without stopping by McConnell's Ice Cream, it's a MUST guys, I always stop there whenever I'm in Santa Barbara...that good! I know there are already some locations in LA but it originated in SB and it just tastes better out there too haha! I didn't get to snap pics of my ice cream (Coconut/toffee/almond flavor) since I devoured it within seconds!

Apart from Clairmont Farms we also stopped by Solvang on the way, which is a small Danish town in Santa Barbara which means "sunny field". There's just so much to explore in this town! It has cute shops, restaurants, and the best bakeries with yummy Danish bread! It instills such an authentic European feel with hidden streets and corners filled with quaint ice cream shops and cafes.  If you're ever in the Santa Barbara area, I totally recommend visiting Solvang...you won't regret it! :)

Clairmont Lavender Farms

Blissful days at the lavender fields...so good to be back!

Ladies day out with mom, grandma, and sis :)

This past Saturday, my sister and I decided to take my mom and grandma for a road trip up to Santa Barbara to check out the lavender fields (Clairmont Lavender Farms). I already visited about two years ago and fell in love with Clairmont farms, I just love the calm and peaceful vibes around the Santa Ynez countryside.  Lavender is in season around this time so we decided to go. Although we are in a drought we were surprised to still see some beautiful purple haze rows of lavender. I'm so glad mom and g-ma loved the farms too, they also went crazy over the organic lavender products and made sure to stock up too! I totally recommend visiting this farm and trying out their lavender products, sooo worth it!
