I finally got to check out  SteelCraft and try out their yummy food last week. SteelCraft is a new communal space that just opened in Long Beach and it pretty much is a food court and dining space. I love the whole aesthetic/design and how it is made up of real shipping containers, it's a must-see!

Since it was a chilly night I went for Tajima ramen and it was delicious, definitely went for the classic ramen on the menu. After ramen we couldn't say no to dessert so we shared a Belgian waffle from Waffle Love, specifically the "Red Wonder" which had a mix of red berries, whip, and some sort of yummy nutella/ speculoos spread on the waffle....so after one bite I was in love...yes... I know that good! hahah 

If you guys get a chance, you must check out this cool space and make sure you arrive hungry to try all the other eateries!

Dumpling Party

This past weekend my friend Kyle hosted a dumpling party at his house and of course my friends and I couldn't skip it haha. I mean how many times do you get to attend a dumpling party right? :) 

The reason why we love Kyle's parties is because he makes almost everything from scratch and he is one of the best cooks ever..literally! He's made everything from Italian six course meals, Indian food, Mexican food, El Salvadorian pupusas, German food, Thai food, and so much more! Keep in mind that he doesn't even own a restaurant he does all of these cuisine and food tasting parties at his humble abode. I keep telling him to open his own restaurant but he insists that it's just a hobby and he loves watching friends enjoy his food...he's one of those guys who  truly enjoys cooking just because!

This time around he invited us over for homemade Chinese dumplings and of course they were delicious! There was a variety of stuffing including: pork, chicken, shrimp, and vegetarian dumplings. My favorite ones were the vegetarian (mushroom) stuffed and shrimp dumplings...the dipping sauces were to die for too!

Pow Wow Festival

Last weekend was my first time attending Pow Wow Festival in Long Beach, I believe it is one of the largest festivals of its kind in Southern California. Pow Wow Festival celebrates American Indian culture including: arts, crafts, music, inter-tribal dancing, food and vendors selling traditional and contemporary art. The food seemed pretty interesting and yummy too, the native food sold was mutton, beef stew, Navajo tacos, fry bread, and Indian burgers.  I find Native American culture so interesting, I love how many people gathered to celebrate their Native American heritage along with other native tribes. My favorite was the performers' native wear there were so many beautiful intricate detailed garments with bright colors, ethnic prints,  tassels, fringe, embroidery, and feathers. There was so much inspiration for sure, loved it! I hope to check it out next year again :)

Eats + Decor ...nothing better, this is a new restaurant in Long Beach called S T Noodle Bar, it was pretty good but that Thai tea was nothing short of amazing! I will definitely be back soon!

It has been a pretty busy weekend for me studying for two exams next week!  However, I'm hoping to go on a little adventure next weekend so stay tuned!

Hi Lovelies!

Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving! I'm sure you can tell why Thanksgiving is one my favorite holidays...there is just so much delicious food!! I can't even...especially dessert! lol Oh well now I have to get back on track with working out and eating healthier, but it's so hard since the holidays are here which means more family gatherings and tons of yummy food!  Don't you guys feel the same way? haha 

For Black Friday I made sure to sleep in, since I'm not a fan of waiting in line in the freezing cold but I did do some light online shopping, I found some cute things (mostly clothes and accessories) but I'm proud of myself for not spending too much! ;) Did you guys find any good Black Friday deals?
