Dumpling Party

This past weekend my friend Kyle hosted a dumpling party at his house and of course my friends and I couldn't skip it haha. I mean how many times do you get to attend a dumpling party right? :)
The reason why we love Kyle's parties is because he makes almost everything from scratch and he is one of the best cooks ever..literally! He's made everything from Italian six course meals, Indian food, Mexican food, El Salvadorian pupusas, German food, Thai food, and so much more! Keep in mind that he doesn't even own a restaurant he does all of these cuisine and food tasting parties at his humble abode. I keep telling him to open his own restaurant but he insists that it's just a hobby and he loves watching friends enjoy his food...he's one of those guys who  truly enjoys cooking just because!
This time around he invited us over for homemade Chinese dumplings and of course they were delicious! There was a variety of stuffing including: pork, chicken, shrimp, and vegetarian dumplings. My favorite ones were the vegetarian (mushroom) stuffed and shrimp dumplings...the dipping sauces were to die for too!

More pictures coming soon from the weekend!

Homemade Harvest Parfait

In honor of October's arrival and my excitement for fall, I got inspired to make my own homemade quickie parfait. If you haven't noticed from previous pics and posts I'm obsessed with parfaits and acai bowls, the more toppings the better! :)
It took me less than 10 minutes to prepare this in the morning before work. It's so quick and easy to make, and it's also a perfect midday snack.

Here's what you need:

1. Yogurt
( I used Fage yogurt)

2. Sliced apples

3. Granola
( I used Kashi's honey almond flax granola)

4. Dark chocolate bits
(Trader Joe's has yummy dark chocolate with almonds I just cut it into chunks/ pieces and voila)

5. Pumpkin spiced pumpkin seeds
(Again, Trader Joe's has the best pumpkin spiced seeds and they're the perfect addition!)

6. Cinnamon powder
(one or two pinches should be fine for that extra kick)

Last but not least, mix it up and enjoy... it literally tastes like autumn in your mouth!

Cheers to a new month lovelies :)

Selfie Sundays ;)

Ending a drizzly Sunday night scarfing down some Korean BBQ with great company! This place is soooo yummy, if you're ever around Garden Grove or Buena Park in OC I recommend trying it out it's called: "Cham Sut Gol" Korean BBQ.

That pretty much sums up my weekend, I know I'm such a fatty lately but I can't help it lol. I love trying out new places. It was literally a Korean foodie craze weekend, geez I had Korean  both on Saturday and Sunday... but how can you say no to such deliciousness :P

Hope you all had a swell weekend!
