Tropicalia Fest

♫ Devendra Banhart- Baby ♫

This past Saturday I went to Tropicalia music festival in Long Beach, we ended up getting there just in time to see a bunch of my favorite artists like Devendra Banhart, Toro y Moi, Natalia Lafourcade, and Mazzy Star!

It was my first time watching Natalia Lafourcade and Mazzy Star perform live and I absolutely loved their live performances! SOoo amazing!
I've been a fan of Mazzy Star since forever so to see them live was definitely a dream come true :)
Tropicalia was so much fun, I loved the overall vibes and I even discovered a few other bands and artists. Unfortunately I didn't get to take too many pictures of the performances since I was standing too far away :(
I'm already looking forward to next year's line up! Did any of you guys go this weekend too?!

Summer Camp Music Festival

♫ Jungle- Heavy, California ♫

Hey guys!

Here are the pics from last weekend's Summer Camp Fest!
We won VIP tickets thanks to LB transit, we loved all the cool perks like free grub, free drinks, meet and greet with the radio hosts, and such a neat view of the stage!

It had been a while since I went to a music fest and to randomly win these tickets has definitely been one of the highlights of my summer! I got to see some of my favorite artists/bands such as ODESZA, Death Cab for Cutie, Chvrches and even got to discover new ones like AJR and Jungle. I loved the variety of genres too from electronic, alternative, pop, and rock!

However, the best part was that this music fest took place in my hometown in Long Beach, it was overlooking the ocean and the city next to the Queen Mary ship. There was no better location for this music fest and I'm already looking forward to next year's! We definitely had such a blast! Thanks LB Transit for this rad experience! :)

Taking the Aqualink boat transit to Summer Camp Fest.

Good times with my sister and cousin :)

Absolutely loved Jungle, their energy and music was just amazing!

Free drinks.

AJR killin' it on stage, they were so much fun...also loved their energy!

Chvrches!

Death Cab for Cutie, first time seeing them live! Such an amazing performance.
It took me back to my high school days.

Finally got to see them live and they exceeded my expectations...hands down my favorite performance at Summer Camp!

They really know how to put on a show everything from the music,
the lights, and striking visuals was just stunning!

Hope you guys enjoyed the pics!

Desert Daze 2014

Here's a photo recap of our road trip to Mecca desert for the Desert Daze music fest, from this past weekend:

Essentials for the road: corn nuts, snacks, & Arizona green tea ..yummers!

Fell in love with these cute tye-dye tepees!

Deep Vally, Night Beats, and Kiev killing it on stage!

(OOTD: Crossroads shirt, F21 old shorts & boots, Rebecca Minkoff bag)

Loving our Tepee chill out spot ! hehe

JJUUJJUU singing their hearts out , loved them!

My sis and I randomly decided to check out this fest at the last minute, and it turned out being pretty cool! Desert Daze fest is obviously not as popular as Coachella, it's barely their 3rd year!! But it's wayyy cheaper than Coachella ...tickets were $45!! Just in case you guys wanted to check it out, camping on site was permitted too. The bands were great, the ambiance, the sellers, the food, the cute tepees and decorations, the location,  (couple mins from Coachella) ...loved it all! Some of my fave bands like The Raveonettes, Allah-las, Autolux, Kiev, & Vincent Gallo were playing there!  I also discovered great bands like: Deep Vally, Night Beats, & JJUUJJUU!
Can't wait for next year's Desert Daze now! :)
