Julian Weekend Getaway

Snowy daze in Julian

Cozy layers

22 weeks

Our cute little inn

Julian is known for their apple pies, so naturally we had to try some once we got there, and it did not disappoint!

Back to our cozy room

Morning view

Last weekend we took a little road trip up to the San Diego small town called Julian, it's tucked away in the mountains and we got lucky to see some snow.

With all the rain California has been getting the mountains have been getting so much snow so it was nice to see despite the cold!

We only spent one night up in the mountains and it was the perfect little getaway that we needed, it was our first time and we loved this teeny tiny town known for its apple pie.

If you're in the SoCal area and need a little snowy getaway I recommend Julian, a day trip or one night is perfect since it's such a small town and don't forget to try their pies!

After Julian we drove down to Anza Borrego Desert Park to check out the super bloom and cool sculptures, more pictures coming soon in the next post. Stay tuned!

Snowy December

♫ Yoke Lore- Bravado ♫

Last weekend's adventure to Oak Glen was pretty spontaneous and fun, first of all it's been a while since I've seen snow...maybe 5 years :/
So you should've seen how ecstatic I was to finally go to the snow after so long! We've been getting so much rain and cold weather in SoCal so naturally what better way to spend a weekend than at the mountains!

Oak Glen is the place where I went back in November for apple picking, it definitely looked so much more different now that there was snow everywhere! I still loved it though, we drank some hot apple cider and felt all christmassy vibes at Oak Glen Village.

Mount San Jacinto Peak

Waking up to this desert oasis sunrise!

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway on the way up to Mount Jacinto Peak!

Yay loved the snow!

Made it to the top! 10,000 feet up, refreshing hike and amazing desert view!

(Cotton On beanie, H&M coat, Zara bucket bag)

Visiting Mount Jacinto was another highlight of my 2015 trip and the cherry on top was the snow! We took the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway up, you literally go from desert oasis to winter wonderland in a matter of minutes! It had been a while since I actually saw snow and I loved it! The weather was pretty cold but after a couple miles of hiking up it felt nice and pleasant.  It was pretty hard hiking up without slipping a couple times and sliding off the trail here and there haha but we made it and the desert view was so worth it.  This was definitely an unforgettable end of 2015 road trip though and I can't wait for many more road trips and adventures to come!

Now back to reality and off to work, hope you all have a rad week!
