My Dream Closet

I recently found out about Compass, a real estate platform that helps people find the perfect place based on their interests and personality. It made me wonder what my dream closet would look like with unlimited resources. I'm a huge fan of interior decor and architecture inspiration so I was all up for it!

I've always been a fan of Scandinavian interior decor. I love the minimal, open bright space, but I also like to incorporate some pop of color or patterned design to give it a more fun touch. I would love to incorporate a relaxed theme to my dream closet like candles, fragrance sticks, or hanging plants since it will also be a place where I can sit, relax, and contemplate what I will wear. Another thing I would add are raw wooden accents whether it's a clothing rod, chairs, organizers, hangers, steps, or a center table with fresh flowers and magazines. If I had to choose the wall colors I would go with a white wall or a beautiful world map wallpaper with subtle colors, like the picture above ^^

I love the idea of having an open and bright (natural lit) closet, natural lighting is a must for me. Which is why one of the main things I would love in my dream closet is a big window with a great view, either overlooking sky scrapers, the ocean, or any beautiful scenery to get inspired every morning when I get dressed. Music is another must for me, so there will definitely be an installed sound system playing my music from my iPod or record player to start off the day!

Beach Road Trippin'

It's been a while since I visited a few of  the South Bay LA county beaches, so I decided to drive up to three of the state beaches I grew up going to during my childhood: Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Redondo Beach. These beaches all border each other and are different in their own way.  Since summer is still here, I took advantage of my day off and drove up to these beaches starting with Manhattan Beach. Manhattan Beach is a popular tourist beach known for it's beautiful pier, surfing, shops, restaurants, and night life. It's also lively and the pier design is slightly reminiscent to that of Huntington Beach's in OC , but less crowded. 

 Hermosa Beach on the other hand,  has more of a mellow vibe and it's directly in between Manhattan and Redondo Beach.  It's also very well known for surfing but the pier and beach is much smaller...it's still a very beautiful laid-back/ artsy beach community! 

Last but not least is Redondo Beach. Redondo is definitely a lively community with a pier filled with many shops, restaurants, and live music in the summer. It's very popular among tourists and many shows and movies have also been filmed there.  This pier has got to be my favorite though (aka waterfront), starting with the horseshoe shape pier design, it's very unique and different from any other Cali beach, which I love!  By the end of the day I ended up in Redondo Beach just in time to watch the sunset over ice cream. 

Gotta love those SoCal summers! ;)

Sand Sculpture & Art Festival

This past weekend was Long Beach's Sand Sculpture and Art Festival.  I got there a bit late but I'm glad I got to see the last standing sand sculptures on the beach. I loved them, so much hard work was put into them.  I wish I could've seen the other sculptures but they were already destroyed :(. This festival ended up being so much fun though, I got to check out a rad live band, who had the crowd dancing and singing along to some Sublime cover songs...they were actually REALLY good (wish I knew the band name)! There was nothing better than listening to Sublime music right in the heart of Long Beach....sweet summer time in the LBC !
