Beau Bar

♫ Mazzy Star- Happy♫

Last Friday I was around Koreatown in LA and I stumbled upon this super cute aesthetically pleasing coffee/tea bar called: Beau Bar  . They literally just opened about two months ago, so if you haven't been I highly recommend it!
I absolutely fell in love with the interior decor very Free People Boho ish with the perfect lounge-y vibes and of course very Instagram-worthy haha. Such a great place to hang out with friends or simply go and study.

Since it was my first time I asked the barista what he would recommend and he recommended their yummy "Beau Bar iced latte" which had cinnamon sticks in it! This was new for me but I didn't mind since I LOVE cinnamon... plus it was delicious and refreshing! I can't wait to come back and try their other drinks and pastries.

Thanks to Beau Bar  for the experience, loved it!

Arte Rustico

♫ Santigold- Chasing Shadows ♫

This past weekend we drove to Riverside to meet up with friends and we stumbled upon this cool Mexican food joint called: Tio's Tacos  , which is known for it's eclectic/rustic/recycled art and sculptures throughout the restaurant. I, of course, loved this place and all the bizarre sculptures made of recycled plastic bottles, tin cans, lids, old wheels, metal, and other rusty scraps.  I love random gems like these, it makes me appreciate art even more especially since it was obvious that creativity and hard work was put into it.
Although I did not try the food I did try their coconut horchata which was delicious! I'm definitely hoping to go back, I loved getting lost in the itty bitty artsy details displayed throughout the restaurant. I loved the atmosphere, the art, and the overall vibes here so hopefully I come back sooner than later. Have you guys ever been?

Exploring Downtown Pomona

♫ Casey Mecija- Palms Lose ♫

Besides discovering a new coffee shop, I also got to explore a little bit around downtown Pomona. The last time I was in this small quaint town was around four years ago so it was great to explore its little hidden gems, the street art, and their popular antique and thrift shops!

It's literally vintage and antique shop paradise in downtown Pomona! I love getting lost in these huge shops, it feels like I've been transported back in time whenever I'm inside. I love all the vintage items like the record players, books, musical instruments, clothing, furniture, and so many other little treasures. I didn't buy anything but it was great browsing and window shopping through all the shops and leaving with a dash of inspiration.

LOVED the Pomona train station!

Loved this whole set up outside a cute thrift shop ^^

Hey guys!
I hope you guys' year started off on the right foot :)

I started off exploring around Venice Beach and of course I had to stop by the Mosaic Tile house ! This place was on my bucket list since last year but I finally got around to visiting.
I was so excited since you guys already know I'm a huge art junkie and random hidden art gems are just my fave.

Cheri and Gonzalo are the owners and artists who have transformed their home into a mosaic/tile work of art! I swear these pictures don't do it justice, you just have to see every itty bitty detail in person. I was so amazed by all their creativity and hard work put into this house! It was great because we also got to meet the couple and they gave us a tour of their home which as you can see is also covered with tiles on the inside from top to bottom and we also got to check out their art studios!
Their home is the only one that stands out on the block so you can't miss it haha... I love how they transformed their home into a work of art simply because they just felt like it.

I felt so inspired after leaving their home and it made me want to start painting, sketching, and making my collage art again..it's been a while and I miss being in my own art state of mind so that's something I'm going to try to do more this year.
I love starting the year with a fresh dose of inspiration and this mosaic house did the trick! :)

Thanks to Cheri and Gonzalo for the tour. Check out their site here and make an appointment if you want to stop by...highly recommend checking it out!
