That Golden Light

Although it's still super warm out it makes for the best golden hour pictures!

I love golden hour, there is a certain warm golden light around that time of the day that I just love. 

I swear you can almost feel the warmth through these pictures from the leftover heat of the day, it was maybe around 6pm and it still felt like 90 degrees outside!

I opted for one my fave LBD that I've had for years, it has a cute open back detail and criss-cross diamond stitching along the hems. It's so versatile, timeless and breathable, love it!

I paired it with these simple tan Zara sandals and my rattan bag.  I don't usually like to overdo an outfit especially when it's too hot outside. I kept the makeup natural, wore minimal dainty jewelry, and let my hair do its thing (with help from ouai wave spray).

Noguchi Garden

Whenever I'm around the Costa Mesa area I love stopping by the Noguchi Garden, it's hidden and nestled between bank buildings but there is a certain tranquility that keeps me going back, I love how it's open to the public but it's never too overcrowded. Isamu Noguchi is the artist and I love his mix of art and nature throughout the sculptural garden, it is a perfect representation of a California Scenario and it is composed of six principal elements: "Forest Walk", "Land Use", "Desert Land", "Water Source", and "Energy Fountain". These principal elements are seen throughout the garden in their own design and landscape with a minimal touch. 

My favorite elements are definitely the "Desert Land" and the "Water Source".

Goodbye July, Hello August!

I can't believe July flew by so quickly, I'm barely starting to enjoy my summer haha. Well I'm glad August is here, there are so many cool things to look forward to! 

I captured these shots in July and as you guys can tell I've been so inspired lately by shadows, natural lighting, leaves, plants, and of course the beach! I've been playing around with photography. lighting, and different vsco filters. My favorite so far is the J5 filter, it's just so subtle, summery, and raw. What do you guys think?
