Spruce it Up

♫ Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions- Day Disguise ♫

I have been going for morning/evening strolls almost every day since the quarantine started and it definitely helps me unwind, it also gives me a dose of energy while soaking in the sun and I love watching all the pretty flowers blooming around.

I have been loving these chilly spring mornings lately, I recently wore my Jenni Kayne cotton sweater for a walk and it was oh so cozy while walking around the neighborhood! I'm loving this spruce color, it's definitely a new color for me since I don't really own anything in that shade but I actually dig it ðŸ™‚

Love how versatile this sweater is, it can actually be worn year round not just in spring!

April Florals

♫ Mazzy Star- Halah ♫

Wearing:

Shein floral wrap top
Uniqlo pants
Sister LB sunnies
Sezane shoes

Hey lovelies!

Happy April :)
I'm definitely feeling all the spring vibes here in SoCal so what better way to start the month than with wearing florals for Easter (groundbreaking hehe). I found this super cute top on Shein, I love how affordable it is but what first drew me in was the wrap surplice style and the pretty florals, I also don't really own any dark green colors like this top so I thought ...why not? I'm also trying to experiment more with colors this spring like rust, olive, mustard, and other (earthy) colors besides my monochromatic wardrobe :P
What do you guys think?

Stay tuned for my Joshua Tree pictures coming up... I ended up taking a spontaneous day-trip this past Saturday that was very much needed,  we had so much fun exploring new places in the desert! Blog post coming soon! :)

Under the Jacaranda Tree

♫ Mesita- All Out in the Open ♫

Wearing:

Haute Couture jacket
Thrifted tee and belt
J Brand Jeans
Sam Edelman sandals
Marloe tote bag
UO sunnies

One of my favorite things about May are these lovely Jacaranda trees blooming everywhere! It's a lovely sight really. Although this was a random parking lot it still had this super cute baby Jacaranda tree and of course I had to snap some pics with it haha. After all that winter rain you just can't help but notice all the beautiful flowers and trees blooming everywhere...nothing compared to last year!

It's been a pretty busy and stressful week but I'm so glad the weekend is finally here! I don't have much planned this weekend other than maybe going to LA with friends but other than that just planning to lounge around and catch up with family :)

Any fun weekend plans for you guys?

Happy weekend!

Casual Lace Dresses

Beautiful sunny spring days call for casual lace dresses, especially when they're lightweight and comfortable. I'm all about lace or crochet details on casual dresses, they just give off that boho/chic vibe. Good thing Rose Gal has a variety of these dresses for any occasion really, and for such affordable prices!

I love how versatile these dresses are. I usually love wearing them with flat sandals if I'm going to the beach or a nice casual bbq. However, if I'm going out to dinner or a party I like to dress them up with lace up high heel sandals or ankle boots. You can never go wrong with casual lace dresses! :)

I added two of my favorite lace dresses from Rose gal, I just love the pale pink off-the-shoulder dress with the lace details on the sleeves and hem. The white lace dress is so timeless and fresh and can be worn all spring and summer long ;) Which one is your fave?

Hope you guys are enjoying your weekend!

♫ Hope Sandoval and the Warm Inventions- I Took A Slip ♫

Wearing:

Shein rose bell sleeve dress
F21 sandals
bag- gift from El Salvador
UO sunnies

Whenever I have free time I love strolling around my city and exploring all the hidden gems LBC has to offer. Back in the day I used to live around this neighborhood and I remember walking by these super cute Spanish style pink apartments and thinking how picture-worthy they were haha! FYI I believe this is where they also shot a scene from the movie La La Land, which I still have yet to see!

Well anyways I finally got a chance to do a mini photoshoot inside this dreamy apartment complex. I wore this cute dress and it just fit perfectly with the whole scene, along with this authentic bag my mom just brought me from El Salvador,  I loooove it! I usually shy away from oversized florals for spring but I couldn't pass up this black shift dress with cute embroidered rose details, I'm also currently into bell sleeves so I was sold when I saw this dress. What do you guys think of this look?

BTW can't wait for the weekend, I'm hoping to go on another mini day trip somewhere...maybe Pasadena it's been a while!

His & Her's Spring Looks

Hey guys!

It's been feeling a lot like spring these last couple of days and I couldn't help but feel inspired and create some spring "his and her's" looks incorporated with the spring colors I've been obsessing over.
I usually tend to shy away from bright pop of colors since I'm more of a fan of neutral, basic, muted, and pastel colors because they're more versatile.

Another thing I'm really into for spring are lightweight breathable fabrics like organic cotton and linen, they're just so comfortable for those breezy sunny spring days!

I'm really loving Bonobo's spring men's collection which inspired me to create three women's looks based on the men's outfits and their color palettes.
Check out more of the collection here!

I never get tired of striped linen or ...striped anything!

I have a bunch of black clothes in my closet but in the spring time I like to switch it up to navy it's just so timeless and nautical!

These are my all-time favorite spring colors anything from currant, dusty pink, salmon, muted olive, washed out gray, mauve, taupe, etc... all these spring colors remind me of a watercolor painting and I just can't get enough!

Which ones are your favorite looks?
