Yay for Thursday! I'm so glad the weekend has started for me, I feel like it's been a loooong week but it has still  been pretty good. BTW I can't believe it's already February!! Time sure does fly, I'm guessing it's still going to be a crazy busy month at school but I'll try to post more pics of my random adventures, hiking, eateries, outfits, randoms, etc.

Lately I have been posting tons of pictures of my hometown, Long Beach. I can't help it, I love my city! Growing up in Long Beach I've seen how much the city has evolved, it has definitely gotten so much better!

 One of my favorite things to do in LB is simply stroll the streets and explore every corner. My favorite area has to be the East Village Arts District in downtown. As you can see this area has hidden gems everywhere from : quirky cafes, yummy restaurants, art galleries, cool street art, record stores, boutiques, flower shops, and ALWAYS good vibes. I also love how this city is dog friendly, major plus! There's nothing you won't find out here. The last pictures are from the annual street food tasting event called "Taste of DTLB", it was held in the heart of Long Beach's arts district. There was a bunch of delicious food from local restaurants and live music, very fun! Can't wait for the next one. 

If you're ever visiting SoCal I definitely suggest visiting this lovely city by the sea.

Quick recap from this past Friday. Nothing better than a day off work and brunching with friends at Sweet Dixie Kitchen. I just love being a tourist in my city and discovering new places. I love the vibes, the ambiance, the diversity...there's just no place like Long Beach!

Brushstrokes and Beverages

This past Sunday my friend, sister, and I finally got to use our groupon for this one day painting class called: "Brushtrokes and Beverages" based in our hometown, Long Beach.  We wanted to take advantage and use it before the year ended. Of course we had such a FUN time. The class was held at one of our fave restaurants (Alegria) in downtown. The theme of the painting was " Beautiful Beach", which explains all the beachy, palm trees, and umbrellas in the pictures lol. I loved how everyone painted their art work but with their own twist to the details. It was such a lovely Sunday evening painting along to some chill tunes, sipping on some sangria/mojitos, and snacking on some calamari....geez can't wait to sign up again! :)

BTW can't believe this year is almost over....wow it definitely was a roller coaster ride, but I'm glad 2014 is ending on good terms for me!
