Taste of Downtown Long Beach is one of my favorite events in the city. It pretty much is a public event held around the downtown area, and this time it was held at one of my favorite spots in the city which is the East Village Arts District. This is my go-to hang out area where all my favorite cafes, restaurants, shops, and fave record store is.

 Taste of DTLB has gotten pretty popular over the years and I love how all the restaurants/cafes within the area set up booths outside and you can pretty much walk around and taste all the different food and drinks from these restaurants. It was great because this time other participating businesses set up booths too, so besides food they were also selling t-shirts, tote bags, chocolate, vintage accessories, and a little bit of everything else...so it kinda felt like a farmer's market if you will.  It's great because although I haven't tried all the spots in the city this event gives people the opportunity to try a bit of everything from all the surrounding restaurants and local businesses in the neighborhood.

Pitaya Bowl Date

 This particular day was a random day of the week so I opted for a chic casual look, the weather has been pretty gloomy lately due to June gloom, but still pretty bright out so a hat and sunscreen is necessary. I ventured out to walk around downtown Long Beach and explore my city so leggings and my comfy Superga sneakers were a must. 

I made sure to stop by one of my favorite juice bars: Tru Nature Juice Bar to get my pitaya bowl fix,  I'm a big fan of acai bowls but lately I've been digging pitaya bowls more and this one did not disappoint. The one I got was called the "Pink Flamingo" and it was made with blended coconut water/pineapple, and topped off with strawberries, bananas, chocolate bits, granola, and coconut flakes...bomb.com! ;)

Scarfin' It

After major spring cleaning I found this blue scarf I bought last year at UO, I even forgot I had it..I love finding treasures like these after they've been stuffed away for two seasons...but now that spring and summer are here I'll definitely make sure to wear it more often since lightweight airy scarves are my staples around this time!

I love the tribal watercolor print and the lightweight cotton fabric, plus the indigo blue color is everything!! I own so much blue it's not even funny..I find myself wearing different shades of blue so much especially around this time..love love it! SO fresh and summery!

Casual Outing

I've been living in my Superga sneakers lately, they're just so comfy and versatile, they go with literally everything! This day I decided to go for a more comfortable laid back look and pair them with some comfy leggings, layered tees, and a loose cardi for a sushi lunch date!

Orange Tei at the Anhaeim Packing District has some pretty delish sushi, if you guys are ever around the Anaheim area I def recommend it and don't forget to stop at Popbar after to try a yummy chocolate covered popsicle for dessert! ;)

Hello 2015 !

 Starting off the year at Seal Beach with my lovely mother!

My mom and I had a little mother-daughter bonding moment and randomly went to Seal Beach for a beach walk, window shopping, yummy Mexican food and of course a little mini photoshoot. It was such a refreshing day, it definitely gave me peace of mind before going back to work. No better way to start the year especially if it's at the beach....my happy place!

 I live for days like these. :)

Did you guys come up with any new year's resolutions? I usually don't come up with any but this year I actually want to start using my camera for taking pictures instead of my phone, as well as updating my blog more often (any suggestions on what I could improve on this blog?)  I also want keep adventuring /traveling to new places, and of course keeping positive vibes all around.
